Christmas is over. The decorations are put away. Christmas music has been replaced with top 40 hits.
I hope y’all had a wonderful day full of love and great food!
Now, it’s New Year’s Eve!
I won’t be going out tonight. I haven’t gone out on New Year’s Eve in very many years. It’s just too dangerous to be out on the road, unless I am going somewhere I can spend the night, which most likely isn’t ever the case. So, I’ll open a bottle of champagne or three, throw on a party hat and put on my New Year’s Eve tradition movie (you can read that post here). Sometimes I stay up until midnight. Most times I’m asleep by 10pm. We’ll see if I can manage to stay up tonight!
I am looking forward to 2018. Each year there is pain, some tragedy and heartache, but with pain, tragedy and heartache there are life lessons that help us grow and provide us with strength we never knew we had.
Let’s do this, 2018.
Happy New Year, y’all.
